About Calie Garrett
Calie Garrett is a singer/songwriter from Norfolk, VA. Tim Ouyang (a long-time friend, producer of her ep “When the Leaves Fell”, and founder of Tim Be Told) says Calie produces “raw and honest songwriting sung with vulnerability. She effortlessly blends different genres of music to create her own style of singer songwriter with pop sensibility.”
Calie has been writing and performing for years, previously in the Christian/Gospel scene. A few of her songs were covered by Christ For The Nations Music, and even sung in churches around the world. Pursuing her dream of writing was moving forward quickly until a whirlwind of painful circumstances, choices, and situations led to the loss of that dream and a complete restructuring of her life. Calie now is a high school special education teacher, reviving that dream of writing and performing, drawing from her experiences as a mom, teacher, lover, and friend to write honest songs about real life.
